Manuel Sahagun brings up his hat-trick release for Drop Music. Following the 'Hit Me EP' (2010) and the 'Dirty Dancing EP' (2008), the Argentinean's third outing, the 'Basement Sounds EP' firmly marks him as one of the new breed of underground house producers who have emerged in the last 5 years, having been originally influenced by the Midlands sound and it's trailblazers Inland Knights.
His 2 track 'Basement Sounds EP' marries powerful beats with funky baselines and brass top lines. Intricate sequencing brings additional interest to the super-solid grooves. Positive Faces nods back to a filtered French house sound while Strange has relentless tribal-tinged beats straight from the Wiggle school.
